A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Vertical Collapse is a digital pinball game with an inverted twist. The demo featured here is a BETA test version. Most of the core gameplay mechanics are present and there are 3 full levels to try. We aim to have the game completed and ready for purchase in 2024.
OBJECTIVE
Menacing ghosts have taken over your machines!! Attempt to flip, fling and roll your way around digital pinball boards as you attempt to reclaim your electronic devices from the GHOST IN THE MACHINE.
CONTROLS
TIPS AND TRICKS
- Keep an eye out for components that are lit up... targeting them is the key to success!
- Different components have different effects... see what you can toggle and break!
- Use the "SHAKE" button to get yourself unstuck or redirect the ball... A shake at the right time can be the difference between winning and losing!

Amazing game, great aesthetics and music. You nailed the physics and all the mechanics work beautifully. I would buy a whole game like this and sink major hours into it.
Thanks for playing!!
Full game should (hopefully) be finished soon when our real lives can take a back seat to development. :P
one of the greatest pinball games i've ever played, visuals, feel, tables and music all rock. Is this still in development? I sure hope so... if its abandoned at this point my only request, nay plea, would be having the high scores saved.
I'd be more than happy to pay for this game, it's so very cool. Up there with Demon's tilt (I've not yet played Xeno tilt) and surpasses Demons / Alien Crush / Crash. Well done.
Wow thank you!!! We really appreciate your support and enthusiasm for our game!!
Vertical Collapse is very much still in development. Progress has been slow as of late due to some big changes in the team's personal lives (all good!!!), but we are still working as hard as we can, when we can.
Stoked to be mentioned in the same sentence as Demons Crush as that was a huge inspiration while designing this game. :D
Looking forward to bringing you the full game soon!

Excellent news! so happy about that.
Please be sure to include saved high scores! Having such a great time with it, so much so i'm writing my scores down in a little notepad.
Keep up the fantastic work!
Pretty cool pinball game. Nice.
Congratulations to whoever did the music because it's pure pinball power!
Thanks for playing!! Really glad you had fun and we have noted your suggestions.
We at LampLighter Studios had so much fun making Vertical Collapse for the B&W game jam that we decided to make it into a full game! We just released a demo version at the SAGE expo which yesterday. You can check it out here if you'd like :)
